Dr. Swensson is the founder of KSi Structural Engineers with offices in Nashville, TN and Atlanta, GA. KSi provides services for many project types but specializes in medical, educational, science & technology, as well as corporate facilities.

Dr. Swensson graduated Summa Cum Laude, with honors in Civil Engineering from Vanderbilt University. He earned his M.S., Civil Engineering degree and his Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin. Kurt is licensed to practice engineering in 20 states and the commonwealth of Puerto Rico. Dr. Swensson has more than twenty-three years of structural design and project management experience with buildings varying in type, size and material.

He has served on several technical committees involved with innovative steel structures, composite structures, and seismic design; he has authored numerous publications and given presentations on a local, national and international level. In addition to service on the executive board of SEAOG, he is also a member of the Methods of Design Technical Subcommittee for ASCE, the ASCE/SEI BIM Committee, AISC Technical Committee on Seismic Design, BSSC Technical Subcommittee on Steel Design, ACI BIM Committee. Kurt is also a LEED accredited professional.

John is an Associate Principal with Uzun & Case Engineers, LLC. He has 30 years of experience in the design of commercial, institutional and industrial structures. He previously worked for both Lockwood Greene Engineers and John Portman and Associates. John is a registered Professional Engineer in ten states including seven states as a Structural Engineer. John graduated from Duke University in 1980 with BSE degrees in both Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering and Material Science.

He serves as the Chair of the ACEC/SEAOG Special Inspection Guidelines Committee. He is the primary author of the Georgia Special Inspection Guidelines which is referenced Georgia Amendments to the 2006 International Building Code. John also serves on the General and Wind Code Advisory Committees for the National Council of Structural Engineering Associations. He previously served on the Non-Building Structures Committee of the Building Seismic Safety Council and as president of the ASCE Georgia’s Structural Technical Group.

Mr. Weilacher has a bachelor's (1990) and master's (1991) degree in civil engineering from Georgia Tech and is a registered PE (Georgia) and SE (Illinois) as well as a LEED Accredited Professional. Mr. Weilacher started working in the field of structural engineering in 1989, while still in school. His structural engineering experience consists of military aviation facilities, medical research facilities, higher education, hotels, residential, renovations, office buildings and retail. Mr. Weilacher is an Associate Principal at Uzun & Case Engineers, LLC in Atlanta, Georgia and is a member of SEAOG, ACI (Member committee 130, Sustainability of Concrete), AISC, and the US Green Building Council. Mr. Weilacher is the chairman for the 2011 Georgia Engineering Alliance Engineer's Week.

Paul W. Shelton, P.E. is the senior structural engineer for the Design Review Group in the Construction Division of the Georgia State Financing and Investment Commission. Paul is a 1979 graduate of Georgia Tech with a degree in civil engineering. Prior to joining GSFIC in 2004, he was employed by Heery International, Inc. for 23 years and has extensive experience in all conventional methods of building design and construction. His is the primary author of G.S.F.I.C.’s Special Inspections Guidelines and helped develop G.S.F.I.C.'s process for "Basic Pre-Qualification" of firms providing special inspections, material testing, geotechnical and/or related services. He was a member of DCA's 2009 Chapter 17 "Structural Tests and Special Inspections" Task Force. He is a registered professional engineer in Georgia and a member A.I.S.C., A.C.I.

Michael Planer is a Principal & the Chief Operating Officer at Pruitt Eberly Stone, Inc. Born and raised in Atlanta, Michael obtained his BS in 1986 and his MS in 1987, in Civil Engineering (with emphasis on structural) from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He has over 20 years experience in project management, structural engineering design and consulting. His expertise focuses on the design of structural systems for industrial, commercial, retail, office, churches and educational facilities using a variety of materials including, steel, concrete, masonry, wood and tilt-up concrete.

Michael is very active in the Structural Engineering community and belongs to many organizations including ACI, ACEC/CASE, ASCE, AISC, TCA, NCEES and is a member of the Board of SEAOG and is on the Executive Committee of CASE. In addition to being registered as a Professional Structural Engineer in the state of Georgia, Michael is also licensed in New Jersey, South Carolina, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Mississippi, Tennessee, North Carolina, Alabama, Arizona, Texas, New Hampshire, Kansas, Washington D.C., Delaware, Virginia and Utah.

Mr. Bragg has a BET (civil) Georgia Southern (1979) and a BCE from Georgia Tech (1987). He is a registered engineer in Georgia and started in structural engineering at the end of 1978, working for Lindsey & Ritter, Jack Lynch & Associates, and Rosser International. He has designed structures and foundations for new and renovated buildings consisting of steel, concrete, precast, masonry, and wood for institutional, commercial, educational, sports, and military projects including courthouses, detention facilities, gymnasiums, low-rise buildings, and parking decks. Mr. Bragg is a member of SEAOG, ACI (national and Georgia chapter), AISC, ICC, ASCE (national and Atlanta SEI chapter).

Mr. Power earned a Bachelor of Architecture in 1972 and a Master of Science in 1973 from the University of Illinois. He is presently a vice president at Heery International serving as Director of Engineering and Structural Department Manager. He is certified by NCEES and SECB. In addition to SEAOG he is a member of AISC, SAME and SECB.

Eric Hagberg earned a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Initially pursuing a double major of architecture and engineering, Eric brings an understanding of design to his approach to structural engineering. Eric spent his early years with well-known Atlanta firms O'Kon and Company and Harald Nielsen Associates. Eric has been with Palmer Engineering Company since 1999 where he is currently Vice President and partner in the firm. His design experiences range from military aviation facilities and office buildings to adaptive reuse, historic preservation, retail, residential, signage, and renovation of many types. Eric is a member of SEAOG, NCEES and AISC. He is currently registered in Georgia and South Carolina.

Mr. Lagerstrom holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from Auburn University. After working with two structural engineering firms he opened his own office, Lagerstrom & Associates, Inc. in March of 1968. This firm has remained in continuous operation to this date, serving as a consultant to architects, engineers, contractors and industry. He was an early member of SEAOG and has served in every executive committee position.
