Helical Piles & Helical Anchors Presented By: Cary Hannon, P.E.
Vice President of Engineering
Foundation Technologies

Participants will be given a theoretical, historical, & practical review of helical anchors (tension) used in earth retention structures and helical piles (compression) used in structures requiring deep foundation support.
Participants will strengthen their understanding of helical technology from the experience and the practical knowledge presented. Benefits include the ability to:

  • Recognize potential applications of helical piles and anchors
  • Understand the basic terms used to specify these products
  • Select the most technically appropriate and cost effective material(s)
  • Appropriately evaluate and review contractor submittals
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of the helical pile and anchor installation process

As the current Vice President of Engineering at Foundation Technologies, Inc., Cary Hannon holds a BCE from Georgia Institute of Technology. Working as a registered professional engineer, Cary spent 14 years as a civil/site consultant working in all sectors of the construction industry. Over the last 11 years, Cary has provided Engineers & Contractors throughout the Southeastern U.S. with technical design and application assistance of helical piles and anchors. Cary has developed and presented over 100 courses covering a wide range of topics associated with the design and construction of helical piles and anchors.

Failure to respond, however, does not prevent attendance nor does failure to attend after a positive response incur any penalty.

A certificate for one PDH will be provided for each registered attendee.
